Japanese Barbecued beef.
4 x 15ml spoons of spoons of golden syrup
4 x 15ml spoons of soy sauce
2 x 15ml spoons of rice wine or dry white wine
2 x 15ml spoons of white vinegar or lemon juice
Spoonful of ground ginger
2 cloves of garlic, crushed.
500g of best braising steak
x2 15ml spoons of white vinegar or lemon juice.
In a shallow dish mix together the syrup, soy sauce, wine, ginger and garlic.
Add the steak, cover and marinate in the fridge over night.
Drain the steak, reserving the marinade.
BBQ the the steak for approx. 10 minutes.
Turn once and brush occasionaly with the reserved marinade.
Slice the steak and serve.
